Hi there, I am Sabrina.
I am an Austrian native who left her career in corporate law in 2020 to live with the love of my life in the Netherlands. Back then, I had no idea that meeting this man would change the course of my life forever.
After living in the Netherlands for a year, I decided to make a creative change in my life and I discovered my passion for travel blogging. Travel has always been a great part of my life – and because of my husbands job as a pilot I have been given many new opportunities to explore the world. I started my travel blog Shades of Summr and became a full time content creator and travel blogger.
Shortly after, life threw us a curve-ball. My husband got offered a job as an instructor in New Mexico, USA.
My husband has already lived in the US before, mainly in Texas for work and later on in Arizona. Not only have I visited him there, but we have also been on many other amazing trips in the US:
Because I have always dreamed about moving to the USA, we decided to go for it! Soon we will embark on our new journey of living in America, and I want to document every single moment of it. The idea for this blog, USAdventure, was born.
This will be a space to share my experiences about moving to the USA. And I am not stopping there. Of course, I will continue to share everything about my life IN America, including some travel guides, culture, and lifestyle info for the USA.
Of course, my work as a lawyer in the past has made it easy for me to navigate rules and regulations about immigration. A big part of this blog will be to share my knowledge about the process without over complicating it.
Lastly, I know that the history and geography of the US are not taught a lot in Europe. So I will make it my mission in the coming years to become an expert on this beautiful country – and share it in the form of easy and helpful guides.
